What is this blog about?

My name is Ward Hocut and this is my blog.

It is like many other blogs and also not like many other blogs.

This is a place for me to think out loud. Maybe half-formed thoughts. Maybe fully-formed thoughts that I later realize are wrong. Maybe some silly thoughts that end up containing a nugget of truth or that do someone somewhere out there a bit of good.

I like to think about people. I like to think about the world and the things the people in it do. I like to think about the past and the future. I like to think about religion. I like to think about how ideas fit together. I like to think about what it means when they don’t.

And because this is merely a place for me to think, then it is not a place for me to push ideas or views. No dogmas here. No t-shirts for sale either. I’m not a big fan of blending profits and prophets. No visions of fame either. That’s why I write under pen name. No forum for trolling and vitriol. That’s why there are no comment sections. If I’m going to interact with strangers on the internet, I’d rather do it directly through email or whatnot. Feel free to contact me!

All in all, this is just a blog for an unnamed individual to think candidly and, hopefully, bring a bit more compassion into the world.
